When someone passes away leaving a Will it must be proved at the Probate Registry.
As an individual, a minimum of 2 visits to the probate registry will be required. For a list of the probate registries contact our office and we will be happy to provide you with the address and contact number.
If you are named as executor but you do not have the time or inclination to deal with the Probate Registry we can act on your behalf, using our specialist solicitor to apply for the grant instead.
The Grant of Probate, once attained, is a certificate that is used to claim the assets for the estate. It is at this point that the will is proved.
